WHAT ARE PORCELAIN VENEERS?

Porcelain veneers are ceramic tooth caps that are applied over the surface of the tooth with an adhesive. They also allow light to pass through them, offering a brilliant shine that is unlike other dental correction treatments.

Porcelain veneers are one of the best solutions to cover up cracks, chips, gaps, and discolorations, among other examples of flaws in your teeth. Since they are constructed from porcelain, they can be shaped and stained to fit comfortably and cover up these flaws impeccably. The process entails shaving a sliver of enamel off in order to make room for the veneer and is minimally invasive.

HOW DO THEY COMPARE TO DENTAL BONDING?

Porcelain veneers and dental bonding are similar in nature, but there are quite a few differences. The process of dental bonding involves using a composite resin and doesn’t require any alteration to the tooth, but is easily prone to cracking and chipping over time. However, while dental bonding is cost-effective it must eventually be replaced. Porcelain veneers are generally stronger and superior aesthetically, showcasing a more natural-looking and dazzling smile.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF PORCELAIN VENEERS?

Porcelain veneers offer many Benefits for our patients in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Not only are they natural-looking and stain-resistant, but they mask those surface flaws along with any other cosmetic dental treatments you may seek (such as teeth whitenings or fillings). It’s not unusual for our patients to have combined treatments with porcelain veneers, as they are one of the best solutions to give your smile a complete makeover.

The porcelain veneer procedure is quick and minimally invasive, but is much more guaranteed to last for many years when compared to dental bonding. Porcelain veneers also have the added bonus of helping improve the functionality of your smile and wellbeing. Fixing the gaps and chips in your smile can slightly improve your speech and bite strength
