Implant Supported Permanently Attached Dentures

Ina had loose, old, removable dentures. She found it difficult to chew her meals and didn’t like the way that her dentures made her face look.

We gave her Dental Implants and Implant Supported Dentures that are permanently attached and cannot get loose. Now she can eat and speak properly and we gave her much more lip fullness for a more youthful, healthy appearance.

“I suffered with loose uncomfortable dentures for years and couldn’t take it anymore! I finally decided to take care of myself and have my mouth fixed by an expert in dental implants . Now I can eat whatever I want and I feel so much better. I’m really glad that I had it done and Dr. Ajmo did a great job.

Thanks for all your help,”

Traditional Partial Dentures

Partial dentures, or partials for short, replace multiple missing teeth that are not adjacent to one another. A partial consists of lifelike replacement teeth set on a base that fits comfortably in the mouth. Partials are removable prosthetics, not fixed like bridges. In most cases, a traditional partial is secured to neighboring teeth with inconspicuous clasps. Modern dental materials allow our lab to create partials that fit comfortably and securely, while creating a natural-looking smile.

Traditional Full Dentures

Full dentures replace all teeth on the upper or lower arch. Many styles and brands of dentures are available, and some are more esthetic than others. In most cases, traditional dentures stay in place with natural suction or denture adhesive. Dentures require special care and may need to be refitted as a patient’s gum ridges change over time.

Mini Implant Dentures

To secure dentures, particularly lower dentures that slip or loosen, Dr. Ajmo may recommend mini implants to secure dentures. This type of implant is particularly suited for patients with narrow mouths that won’t allow for traditional implants. Because mini implants feature smaller posts than traditional implants, they expand treatment options for patients who may otherwise not qualify for implant-retained dentures. Dr. Ajmo can place mini implants in a single visit to PGA Dental Associates.

Implant retained Dentures

Implant-Retained Dentures

For optimal stability and dependability, implant-retained dentures present the best solution. You must have sufficient jawbone density and good oral health prior to implant placement. Learn more about the implant procedure here. Implant-retained dentures rely on a few traditional implants, anchored in the jaw, for stability. Some styles feature a horizontal support bar onto which dentures are secured. Implant-retained dentures have a snap-on system for simple, quick placement, and they are a removable prosthetic. In some cases, Dr. Ajmo’s lab can retro-fit a patient’s existing dentures with implant attachments.
