The CT (called a CAT scan) takes detailed 3D images of a patient's teeth and jaws allowing Dr. Ajmo to effectivly treat very complex cases with effictive implant procedures. Patients scans are sent to a laboratory where they are used to create a surgical guide for the implant procedure. The guide is used to ensure precision placement of the implant posts into the jaw. This makes the procedure more predictable and safe. Using the guide, the procedure does not require traditional surgery or stitches, and this less traumatic approach decreases a patient's recovery time.
